It is the mission of Dorson Community Foundation to provide inner-city youth, in Essex and surrounding counties, with a creative outlet and a meaningful alternative lifestyle to one involving drugs and gangs. The Foundation also works to foster relationships between the young and the elderly, focusing on shared experiences and one-on-one communications. The Foundation attracts teachers and investors alike who are truly motivated by a desire to give something back to their community and to help these young people with guidance and direction to become the community leaders of tomorrow.
